    Is this a terrible idea?

Your recipe sounds like a good start. Look at this https://www.homebrewtalk.com/f62/cream-three-crops-cream-ale-66503/ for inspiration. I've brewed it several times and its turned out great. Maybe you can just scale it up a bit. Also, unless you like the sasion taste, you might want to stick...

    Citra Hop Burst Experiment #1

No need to let it warm up. It shouldn't really matter either way. Its a little plastic bag that holds the nutrients. You'll see it. I probably wouldn't leave it in the fermentor but if it touches your wort it's not going to hurt anything. RDWHAHB

    Citra Hop Burst Experiment #1

2 thoughts on that: 1 - do replace it with dextrose to make it dryer. or 2 - don't and learn what a 1.017 beer tastes like. it certainly won't be bad. I'd tend towards 2. Keep it simple at first and see if you actually need to adjust anything.

    Quick Flanders Red

I've soured a full batch using this method and I was very happy with the results. The beer had a good sour pucker kick to it. I'll definitely do it again. Just do it!

    Hop Schedule Critique

Hey all, I'm brewing an Imperial IPA. I have some home grown hops that I'm going to use. 2 oz williamette and 4 oz Chinook. If needed I could by more hops for bittering and use all 6 oz home grown hops for flavor/aroma. How do the hops look? Suggestions? OG: 1.080 Hop Schedule...
