Had my first clogged dip tube...

yep, just the standard, clamp, tighten, spin, tighten, spin, repeat tube cutter. it took a little longer than you would think, since it is stainless steel, but it worked.

Had my first clogged dip tube...

I just cut a 1/4" off a dip tube about 2 weeks ago. Have not seen any ill effects yet. I'm assuming there will be a pint or less left in the bottom of the keg compared to a full length dip tube. Before I cut it, the tap had clogged 3 times - no clogs since cutting it.

    kegs at room temperature

your plan will work fine. just follow your normal kegging process, hit it with CO2, purge a couple times and stick it someplace cool. As you say, it won't carb while waiting, but as soon as you swap it you can follow your normal carbonation process (set and forget, force/shake, high pressure...

I don't even try names after learning how Featheringstonehaugh is pronounced. I just stick with a 'Hey you' until someone tells me how to pronounce their name and even then they will likely still get a 'hey you'.

QOTD: Lobster tail (or other surf & turf option) count? If not, then creamed spinach. Wife doesn't like the creamed spinach, so I rarely make it at home. Might just make it tonight as steak is on the menu tonight.

Result: Cocky Brewer Calculations are for wimps, you wing it and your beer always comes out awesome, and you do say so yourself (online, in bars, and on the T shirts you've had made). 'Instinct brewing' is the way forward and you've already trademarked that name for your new brewery. Your...

QOTD: Centennial and Cascade - mainly because they are what i have growing in my back yard. Neighbor usually gives me some Nugget of his plants, so 75% of my beers have those 3 in them. If my Chinook doesn't produce more than a handful of cones this year (3rd year plant) it's getting...

I'm up for a DuffMan food tour, but I need to convince SWMBO that a trip to Philly is something we should do. Maybe I can work the 'the kids should see it, it's really educational' angle on her.

A would have a tough time picking a go-to beer. Style would be either IPA or IIPA, but I don't find myself buying the same beer over and over. If I had to choose one, I'd probably go with Odell Myrcenary.

My oldest, who will be 8 later this month, got so excited after walking about 3 steps into mommy's arms, he puked all over her. Wasn't sick, just really happy and puke all over mom. Wish I would have gotten a picture of it.
