It is the first time I made this one. The Airlock activity was extremely weak and did not last. The seal is good, I am going to re pitch then.
Thanks guys.
I have brewed about 8 batches and every time had crazy airlock activity for +- 3 days but on my last batch the airlock activity was weak for one day and then nothing.

OK then, I am going to put it in the backroom and forget it for the next 3 months. Sucks because my first brew was a larger so that took forever. To get the pipeline going I thought this Belgian Ale would be nice only to learn it is now 3 to 6 months out. I am now on my 4th beer batch brewed and...
OK I gave it time but I am still not over the moon with it. It definitely kicks your ass after 2 bottles so the abv is there but the taste is not.

Ok made my first two 5 GAL batches and I am as excited as a kid in an apfelwein store. I stuck 100% to the original recipe with zero deviation (other than the apple juice brand).
My OG was just under 1.060, sound right? I used the Organic Apple Juice from BJ's.
OK I ordered two 6 gal better bottles and got 10 gal of 100% organic apple juice from BJ's and decided to stick with the Montrachet Wine Yeast and follow Edwort's recipe 110%.
Thanks again guys!
Thanks for the help. I will check out Edwort's apfelwine with a cider yeast.

Also I see it comes in at 8.5% abv. Do I reduce the sugar to get it closer to 6% abv, say half the sugar?
Cheers!
In a never ending attempt to keep SWMBO happy I promised to make her a apple cider drink as close as I could to a product she loves from the old country, South Africa. So se loves a Savanna.
