[Version 2 Release] RaspberryPints - Digital Taplist Solution

I've had Raspberry Pints installed for a while. Today when I tried to log in from the admin screen in the web browser I got a series of question marks in black diamonds across the top of the screen (in the browser). I tried typing in the correct username and password and the wrong one and the...

[Version 2 Release] RaspberryPints - Digital Taplist Solution

Excuse the beginner question, but everything was functioning fine for me for several months, then I shut down the raspberry pi and unplugged it for about a week. When I turned it back on my tap list was blank. When I went into admin, everything is there and appears to function fine, but at the...

    Spent Grain Poll

For folks throwing some or all of it out. If you had contact info for someone who wanted it, and they would come and get it, would you contact them with a when and where for them to come and get it?

    Spent Grain Poll

I'm curious to see how many people are using their spent grain for something, and how many are just tossing it out. No judgment for any type of answer...just curious.

New England IPA "Northeast" style IPA

With your steeping grain bill you have to watch the diastatic power (DP) to get conversion of the flaked grains and melanoiden, otherwise you'll end up with a low efficiency for that portion. By my math you have about 18, when you need a minimum of 30, and are better off even higher. Solutions...

New England IPA "Northeast" style IPA

I was thinking about the logic of what happens to the volatile hop oils you just spent 30 to 60 mins infusing during the hopstand if you shake the carboy violently for oxygenation (or if you simply let the wort splash into the carboy). I was thinking you stand a better chance of keeping them in...

New England IPA "Northeast" style IPA

For anyone debating the use of hopstand vs dry hop there was a very thorough investigation done by Rock Bottom Breweries and published under the title: "Maximizing Hop Aroma and Flavor Through Process Variables". I was able to find the entire PDF through a quick google search. I highly...

    Water Report / Question

FYI, Bru'n water recommends adding lactic to room temperature water...so before you heat it. I think a "few" mL of lactic to sparge water for a typical 5 gal batch might be overkill. But checking the pH is a good plan. I have not used the strips, but my understanding is that they are not very...

    Water Report / Question

My suggestion is to download and read all the datasheets from the Bru'n Water spreadsheet. A quick internet search will find it. The "Instructions" and "Water Knowledge" worksheets are filled with great information. I used EZ water for awhile, but it seemed to require lots of salts to get...

Guide to set internal chest freezer thermostat to >32F; Eliminate external control

I'm not sure about your model, but you might want to pull off the white plastic thermostat cover/dial... It might be behind that. And I'd test with a thermometer every turn off two to see if you're turning is doing anything. Check it four our five times over the course of an hour or so to get...

Guide to set internal chest freezer thermostat to >32F; Eliminate external control

With my freezer, when adjusted as high as it could go the temperature ranged between 30 and 34 degrees. While my beer wasn't freezing, I didn't like the serving temperature. So I opted for the Inkbird ITC-308, instead of the STC-1000...

Guide to set internal chest freezer thermostat to >32F; Eliminate external control

A picture might help. Can you get to it from a side panel or something? It's probably held in by a couple plastic or metal pieces that need to be squeezed to pop it loose. You should be able to get the nob off the thermostat easier, that might help see what's behind it.
