    Blew my wad

IMHO, those wheels are a huge improvement over the stock solid, never liked those. Looks really good.

    We can all quit brewing.

Ashamed to say I once bought the world select, thinking it might be good. Tasted exactly like budweiser.

    6% laws?

Erbium, is the Ga. law restricting abv. still in effect? I ask because there was recently discussion of a bill here to ease some of those laws. I've also recently purchased Lagunita IPA which I believe is higher than that, iirc. BTW, that Lagunita was great. Loves me some hops.

    Going All Grain

Pol, thanks for that, I didn't see your reply before my last post.

    Going All Grain

I appreciate all of the replies, I just wanted to go ahead and jump in because I figure AG is where i'll probably end up with this homebrew thing anyway.

    Going All Grain

One other thing, is a sparge arm a necessity? I ask because I saw a webpage with a person going through the process and I got the impression that he wasn't using one.

    Going All Grain

So SWMBO got me a Mr. Beer for my thirty first birthday; I've brewed two batches and a cider, and now i'm thinking I want to go all grain. My only real question is do you save money by cobbling together your own setup, or would I be better served purchasing one ready to go?

Do I leave the muslin bag in wort to ferment?

I have a Mr. Beer and it's my understanding that because the extracts are hopped there is no need to boil.

Help with making cider in a Mr.Beer...

Didn't know it was that easy. That's what I'll do. Thanks Pumbaa.

Help with making cider in a Mr.Beer...

SWMBO likes cider, so I just broke down and ordered a second Mr. Beer fermenter and their cider kit. This will only be the third thing I've ever tried to make, so I don't feel ready to go out on my own just yet.

    Mr.beer first batch

Bottled my first batch with Mr. Beer today. Ended up with about twenty one bottles worth of beer instead of the expected twenty. So, that last bottle of beer got poured into a glass and sampled. And even though it was flat, I still enjoyed it; could be just the time and effort I put into it...

    First Beer

Looking forward to the next batch as well, going to be a stout this time. I already feel like I need larger fermenters and am debating using dme to prime. Bought a copy of CJOHB earlier this week and have already read it through. That book answered a lot of questions I had.

    First Beer

So after a week in the fermenter I tried a little sample of my beer today. It tasted like Budweiser, really. Very slight carbonation. One more week to bottling.

    First Beer

So I finally got to make my first beer with my kit today. Mr. Beer, used the West Coast Pale Ale and booster that came with it; the booster was really difficult to mix into the water. Already looking forward to making the other kit I got with it, a stout with UME instead of booster.

    Hello!

Thanks Yuri! Wasn't aware that I could search that way.
