Hey Yoopers: KBC PickAxe Blonde clone?

I've had literally 100's of craft beers from the east coast to the west coast, some good, some great. I thought the 2 from KBC, PA and WM were good beers. Very drinkable.

    Pin lock kegs

So, I shut down my fridge for the winter, brought my regulator and bottle in the house, and since I suspect an issue with it, I opened bottle and the dispensing pressure went straight up until relief valve popped open. the adjustment screw was turned all the way back. I closed the bottle off and...

    Pin lock kegs

Seemed fine... I did have an issue with dispensing pressure building very high with adjustment turned all the way down, and valve to keg off, but i am certain its a separate issue, possibly a defective regulator. Sent from my iPhone using Home Brew

    Pin lock kegs

Dumb question but anyway, I have a new fitting but it's for the 3 pin liquid side and i wanted it for the gas side. I swapped the 3 pin and 2 pin so gas went in through the new fitting. I basically just switched the long dispensing tube and short gas tube inside the keg... Is this acceptable? I...

    Upgrading to 10 Gallons

Pretty much what I got going on also, however, my burner is to small and takes quite a while to get my boil going. I start to heat the wort in between sparges to help but still takes a while. So this could be a possible area for up-grade going from 5 to 10 gal batches

    crisis narrowly averted

yeah, I think my replacement will be a "wort safe" plastic carboy.

    crisis narrowly averted

picked up my 5 gal carboy to dump sanitizer and the bottom fell right off.... had it hung in there for another 15 min. I would have had a catastrophe.... Anybody not so lucky??

Specialty IPA: Black IPA Darth Vader - Black IPA

Mine looks pretty similar: 12 lb - 2 row .5 lb - caramel 90L .5 lb - carafe III 6 oz - chocolate malt hops are almost identical except I went with Amarillo instead of cascade and I threw in a pound of corn sugar at flame out. Dry hopping with an ounce of amarillo

    CO2 absorbtion

Hahaha, yeah sometimes its easier to start over than to attempt and resurrect an old one. Sent from my iPhone using Home Brew

    CO2 absorbtion

I was a bit puzzled because I've dispensed probably 4 - half barrels or more @ 5-6 psi on the same 5 lb cylinder without running out. But have never carbed mine own, so figured I would ask. How many kegs can I expect to get out of that 5 lb tank force carbonating? roughly

    CO2 absorbtion

OK thanks.... I will do that....

    CO2 absorbtion

thought I would start a new topic rather than search for my answers. Anyway, I force carbed my 1st ever batch, set a full 5lb cylinder at 12 psi for 10 days and then began dispensing at around 5 psi. the beer was perfectly carbed and dispensed beautifully. only problem was half way through the...

Best book or reading for all grain virgin
