Thanks, I did figure it out eventually.

My batch is ruined with 2 oz extract. If I drink 3 quickly, then my buzz will get over the taste, but NEVER AGAIN with extract!!!!

Can you share what color wires from the freezer went to what on the controller. I want to bypass the freezer thermostat and mount my stc1000 like you did?

To the pros.... Would this work: Sparge tank draining to the top of a Gott/Rubbermaid cooler mashtun (round) that has a bung insterted into the cente of the drilled lid. There is a tube through the bung that funnels the sparge water into the mashtun. UNDER the Gott/Rubbermaid round...

I have a glass C. for the secondary, but not a 30 liter hard plastic bucket. I wanted to know if I had to go get one, or if I can use the large soft one I have.

Can you use the large 30-40 liter buckets (soft) that wine makers use for the primary. The lid is meant to not fit tight so that the CO2 can escape, thus negating the need for an air lock.
