    Cold crashing and gelatin doubts

Luckily my fridge goes down to 0C I believe but yes 4C will be fine to cold crash, they say get the beer down to 35F - 38F before adding gelatin, I can't see an extra degree causing a problem.

Bottle conditioning at room temp in glass bottles

Appreciate the message, would I be better off putting the bottles into a temp controlled fridge at 20C for 2-3 weeks instead or should room temp (even though the bottles feel cold)?

Bottle conditioning at room temp in glass bottles

Hey, No doubt this questions has been asked several times, anyway... I've just bottled my IPA after cold crashing / geletin method and bottled into 500ml bottles. The beer temp was about 5C when I bottled it and they're no conditioning at around 18C - 20C (this can sometimes be higher...

    Cold crashing and gelatin doubts

I've just bottled an IPA that I cleared with geletin and I'm surprised by the results. Here's what I did: Ferment for 14 days to get the FG Dry hopped for 3 days using a muslin bag Cooled the primary fermenter to 2C Boiled a cup of water and added 1 tspn plain geletin and poured straight into...

    Clearing beer with geletin...

When the guides say 3/4 cups does than mean 3 to 4 cups with 1 tsp each or 3 quarters with 1 tea spoon in?

    Clearing beer with geletin...

Guys, I've currently got an IPA brewing and I've read a few posts regarding geletin to clear the beer. My question is, when my FG is consistent and fermentation has complete, should I add 1 tsp of plain geletin to 1 cup of boiled and cooked water and leave for 48 hours and then add...

Brew fridge setup and fermenting temperatures

Guys, I'm sorry if this has been asked previously, I can't find a definate answer... I currently have a larder brew fridge setup with the usual stuff (ink bird temp controller, tube heater etc...). I know that the temperatures suggested on the kits suggest 20 - 25 degrees ambient, so my...

Inkbird thermometer, temperature inside fermenter question

Guys, I have an inkbird which is on the outside of my thermenter with bubbles wrap around it. How much higher is the temperature likely to be inside the thermenter? So if I wanted to thermenter at 24C max, would I put my ink bird limit to something like 22C?

    Larder fridge setup

Hey, I've just got myself a larder fridge to keep better temperature control, my question is: Will I be okay using a glass shelf to sit the bucket on or will it take longer for the bucket to heat up rather than using a wooden shelf?

Drop hopped.. should there be a thick top?

I will cold crash it a day before bottling as I plan on siphoning it into another bucket to add the priming sugar anyway. So the layer on the top is nothing to worry about as long as it doesn't clog up the siphon and such?

Drop hopped.. should there be a thick top?

I've heard cooling before bottling causes then to drop to the bottom?

Drop hopped.. should there be a thick top?

Hey, I've just added the hop pellet directly to my ferementing bucket as I'm due to bottle in the next 2 - days. I've just checked and there's a thick layer on the top.. Should that be there or should the pellets be breaking up and going to the bottom? Thanks!

Syphoning into another fermenting bucket to add carbonation sugar

So are we saying in this occasion, add the sugar to the bottles but going forward, add the sugar to the bucket once syphoned?
