I have wanted to make a doppelweizen ever since I had Faceplant from Bayern last time I was in Montana. Problem is, I can't find a decent recipe. If yours turned out, would you mind giving a few tips?
Thanks for the responses, like I said it's not a bad smell, just different. It was a kit, fairly expensive. I am bottling today so I guess I will see the real results in a few months.
I made my first batch of Cabernet just before the begining of the year. I am at the point of bottling now and want to know if the smell is normal. Everything seems to have gone fine. I drew up a sample and it was nice and clear. The smell was almost like a bottle of wine that sat open for a day...
