I love IPAs so it's hard to really label one "terrible" or "worst". However, I did have a Deviant Dales DIPA from a dingy bar one time and it was without doubt the worst beer I had ever tasted. It smelled and tasted like I was drinking dirty running sock juice! I swore the beer off for awhile...
We didn't stir the wort before boiling so I guess that could be it, however we did collect by using the some hose like a straw and placing your thumb over the top end. That should have gotten a sample through each of the potential layers of sugars and its been the way we've been doing it all...
So this weekend we were brewing up an IPA. I do all grain with a 5 gallon cooler, 30 qt aluminum pot, turkey fryer. After putting all my ingredients and numbers into beer smith, the software said I'd end up with with an OG of 1.063.

Ended up finding some Vienna left over and added that to the recipe as well. The only reason I used this grain bill and hop selection was just due to what I had left over from my last batch. Ratios of grain came out:
2 Row - 75%
Car 20L - 16%
Vienna - 9%
With the BIAB I didn't get but 60%...
