Show us your Mead in a photo!!!

Haven't been around for a while, and this is my first time in the Mead forum. I was inspired to start brewing mead after a recent homebrew club meeting. I can see this becoming my new obsession. My first batch's, both are traditional, with 3lbs local honey and Lalvin D-47. As soon as...

Talk me out of doing an open fermentation

Well, it's in the cellar...... totally topless. I've brewed this recipe several times so I'm pretty familiar with what to expect from the normal airlock/carboy combo. That's one of the reasons I chose this batch to try. It should make any differences really stand out. @knightbeer39, I hope...

The only difference being I made a 500ml starter from a batch of WLP380 yeast I washed from a Dunkelweizen last week. Beer went into the fermentor at 1:00 pm...

    Checking in from Dayton, Ohio

Hey there, My name is Travis, I'm a professional artist from Yellow Springs Ohio. At least that's where I spent the first 38 years of my life. I've been living in downtown Dayton for the last few. I've been brewing for quite a while now, but just discovered this site in the last few...
