    Grainfather!!

That's almost my exact practice as well. Fill up total volume based on Brewfather calcs with RO water. Set delayed heat to turn on next morning to start heating. Wake up, toss in necessary salts. Water already around 154F. Pump out sparge volume and put on stove to maintain/heat to sparge temps...

Norwegian built BREWTOOLS B80 all in one brewing system

From what I've heard 5 gallon batches (6 gallons into fermenter) are definitely possible. I believe that's the lowest liquid amount to keep the elements submerged completely. I can't find anything official on their website, but highland_brewer on his youtube channel pointed it out at some point...

Boil kettle condenser - no overhead ventilation needed

Your design is spreading quickly! This was posted on the Brewtools FB page today as an add-on to their steam hat. Glad to see they added this as I'll be picking up a B80pro by the end of the year. https://m.facebook.com/story.php?story_fbid=2366499496773771&id=933773400046395

    Grainfather!!

I emailed Grainfather and they sent a new boiler and latest version of the connect controller to replace my manual old style controller. Couldn't be happier considering mine is a Gen2 unit, just cresting 3 years old when I emailed them. Great customer service.

    Grainfather!!

Sorry not the best photos, but the one prong has melted plastic all over it and the long blade socket is disfigured a bit.

    Grainfather!!

FWIW, I was filling the GF up to sous vide some steaks tonight and randomly pulled on the plug to see if it's going to be an issue or just got hot from being on for 48 plus hours. Sure enough it's fused to the outlet. Still works and need it to cook my steaks tonight, but sucky. As mentioned...

    Grainfather!!

My recent issue might be due to kettle sour as well. Nearly two days of maintaining 105F. However, there shouldn't be issues as it was switched to "mash" during that period and supposedly pulling a lot less amps. I just need it to last a few more months before I drop the money on the B80pro...

    Grainfather!!

Has anybody with a 1st of 2nd gen (original control panel before the connect was released ) had issues with hot or melting element plugs similar to the folks with the connect box? I'm asking because the brew I finished up last night struggled to maintain a good boil and I measured the...

Norwegian built BREWTOOLS B80 all in one brewing system

Expensive....yes, but don't be surprised when the Grainfather G70 comes in at $1500 and they slap an under-powered 3000 watt element on it. For a little more it seems like you get a lot more flexibility, fully replaceable parts, bigger batches, and more power than the other comparable systems on...

    Star San in spray bottle

I make 1 gal at a time with RO then fill two Zap spray bottles. I keep one in the brewery and the other in the kitchen with the left over kept in a glass growler under the sink in the brewery for refills. My wife uses it to sanitize the kitchen counters and equipment after processing raw meats...

Norwegian built BREWTOOLS B80 all in one brewing system

I'm curious to see the development of this system over the next year. I've been brewing on a Grainfather for several years now and I'm at the point where I'm brewing nearly every weekend I can't keep up with consumption. This still meets my needs for an all in one system but it looks like it...
