    I'm using a propane turkey fryer to boil my wort. Provided I clean and sanitize well, will it be a problem to fry food in the same pot? It seems like a waste to have it and not use it for that purpose

    Hey, I'm going to try my hand at a citrus/grapefruit IPA, which it seems almost universally call for chinook hops. As the local shop doesn't carry that variety, what would be my best alternative. Cascade, naturally, will be added regardless.

    So I've purchased a Cooper's DIY kit and have just began my first batch of homebrew from a can, which I say for lack of a known term (YAY!). Even if you don't believe in stupid questions, you may be about to find religion; I can't for the life of me figure out how to use the lid clips. Perhaps...

    I used the amount of dextrose the kit alotted me for the lager with the pale ale. Would that have lowered my OG? I have added about ab pound more of dextrose , dissolved in boiled 2ater and then cool. This raised the gravity by 14 points

    I swapped out the lager that came with the kit for a pale ale, for which no reccomended OG was mentioned in the instructions
