    2nd batch, dumb question

Yeah...it definitely won't have an effect on the end product, though straining will help two things (in my opinion, and that's why I do it). You'll have to siphon into secondary, and that extra gunk will soak up some liquid you won't end up being able to transfer over, so your batch will be...

Five Months Old Belgian Wit Still Undrinkable

Even a huge amount of orange peel isn't going to give you a sour flavor like that. Well, a HUGE amount would, but going from half an ounce to a full ounce of orange peel certainly won't. If it was a standard Belgian Wit recipe, it really shouldn't be giving you that sourness at any point, and...

Yes, I was your server. Good times. You're a bunch of nice folks. I think I'm stopping in the shop in a little bit to pick up a few odds and ends.

Wow...makes sense. We moved a good six 120s last week. It was worth the guess.

You were sitting at the table in the pub room nearest the entrance, were the one at the table who didn't eat, and I was your server. Cheers.

I thought that I'd posted a reply...oops...let's try this again. Trevor guessed correctly, for what it's worth. Maybe I'll see you in there...I probably already have...I've worked there for over eight years by now.

    Saint Charles, IL

I also have to endorse The Homebrew Shop. Good place to go if you don't want to end up on a wild goose chase. Not to mention local. For me, it's an hour round trip, but it's my #1 choice in the area.

    Cheers from St. Charles IL.!!

Very nice. Welcome from a fellow newbie. You are fortunate to be in town with what (in my estimation) is the best homebrew shop in the western burbs. If you ever have questions, you can feel free to ask Ed (the owner) in person. He's fairly knowledgeable and unlikely to send you astray for a...

Yes, it is, in fact, the Bavarian Lodge. Where else could it be? If you go in there, we've probably met. I've been working there for over eight years. As for the person who asked, we keep a list of our drafts here: http://www.bavarian-lodge.com/Site/Beer_List.html I hope I don't get in...

    Howdy from Chicagoland

I guess an introduction is in order? I really don't know where to start in these forums, as it were. Since I google for answers to my questions about homebrewing and end up viewing this site often enough, I thought that it was only fair enough to join in on the discourse. My name is Bob...
