    Newbie help and advice

Yeah I'm smelling from airlock. I'm not going to open the lid until i'm ready to transfer it. It smells like sweet beer which I assume is a good thing. I think that's all my questions and concerns answered for now. I'll be back in touch when I'm ready for my next step. Thanks for all the help

I'll leave it an extra week in primary then, see how it goes. Is it normal for the brew to smell so sweet at this stage?

    Newbie help and advice

Ah right, I've been reading so much info over the last few days some must be getting muddled up. Once fermentation is complete, should I move my bucket to somewhere cooler or just leave as is?

    Newbie help and advice

I have a little stick on thermometer strip that is reading 23c consistently, which is 3c higher than the ambient temperature. I'm not sure how accurate these are, but it came with the kit. Leave it for that long? I've read that leaving it in longer than a week can result in the yeast dying...

    Newbie help and advice

NOOB - brewing to keg and dispense by tap

Thanks for your help. The cooler I'm talking about is more like this though. http://cornelius.com/markets-and-solutions/beer-and-cider/products/coolers/shelf-coolers.aspx Looks like a need to find an adjustable gas regulator too.

NOOB - brewing to keg and dispense by tap

Thanks for reply. The plastic keg is designed to withstand the pressure and it's used in the uk to clean the beer lines in a commercial bar. Few more questions; So I brew my home brew as stated on the most websites, but they recommend adding sugar to the bottle after brewing, to carbonate the...

NOOB - brewing to keg and dispense by tap

Hi guys, really new to this, to the point where I haven't bought any kit yet. I would like to brew my own lager or pale ale, but only to dispense through a keg. I would like to know the process for brewing kegged beer and how to dispense it correctly. Ideally I would like to store the brew in a...
