Forgive me if this is a dumb question but is it possible to over gas but still be under carbed?

This may be a dumb question but you know how when you pour a beer from a bottle and you see bubbles rising in the glass. I get the bubbles when I bottle but when I keg I do not, but the beer seems carbonated when you drink it, maybe over carved, does that make sense?:mug:

Thanks, that was my though but somebody told me otherwise.

Once the keg is carbonated how long will the beer stay carbonated with the gas not hooked up? I ask as I only have one tank but 2 locations for beer, home and cottage, so I'd need to travel with my tank.

My local bottle return sells them for .20 ea.

Do you still have the CO2 tank? Is the hydro date stamp still valid can it be filled.
