Beer for a party in 1 month

Nebraska's corn and beef country. Take your wild accusations elsewhere.

Food Grade 35% Hydrogen Peroxide as a Sanitizer

H2O2 also degrades fairly quickly, so if you buy it in bulk you may find its efficacy decreases as you store it.

    still no resolve

If your keg is too cold, it probably wouldn't make a difference whether your lines are chilled or not. Have you ever opened a (nonfrozen) beer from the back of the fridge, only to have it turn to a slushie as soon as you crack it? The same thing might be happening in your connections; when you...

    still no resolve

Try turning your fridge temperature up a few degrees. I think you're getting a little chunk of ice in your line/coupler that's agitating the beer as it comes up.

New Brewery Location - Where to put it.

I'm not a dude, dude. I'm just giving the guy my advice: if you want to look like a professional, don't wear flip flops to work and don't make questionable jokes to your customers. It's not my money to lose. I wish him the best of luck!

New Brewery Location - Where to put it.

The title on your blog is "Chicks Dig the Knob"? That actually made my stomach turn a little when I clicked through. You might want to reconsider the blatant use of penis references in your business plan.

    Two at a time

I've gone to exclusively brewing 2 5 gallon batches at a time; it only adds about 1.5 hours to the brew day and you didn't need any extra gear. Schedule is like this: - heat sparge water - dough in #1, heat mashout/mash 2 water - mashout into bucket, dough in #2 - transfer 1 to brew pot, boil...

can i use my brew pot for only brewing

I did crabs in my aluminum pot a couple weeks ago, no problem. Just sniff it before you brew again and make sure it's nice and clean.

    Cold steeping hops

Your data actually show that your hop oils ARE more soluble in your beer. When you smell your beer, you're smelling the hops dissolved in the CO2 that's coming out of solution. When your beer is a BETTER solvent for hops, less of the compounds will go into the CO2 that's coming out of solution...

IPA gone extremely bitter after 2 months

If you have a slow CO2 leak from the keg you could be stripping out the aroma hops more quickly than you would in bottles. Aroma hop compounds are only slight water soluble and are much more soluble in CO2. So if you vent your keg a couple of times (to fill bottles, for example) you will affect...

Pumpkin Stout ideas... Can I get a what, what? Or maybe just some thoughts

I mash for 5.5 gallon batches in a 5 gallon cooler with no problem. You just have to mash kinda stiff, like 1.25 qt/lb, but it works fine, my efficiencies are in the 70-80% range.

Breweries to visit in Oakland/San Fran

If you stay in Oakland, Beer Revolution and the Trappist are the two to check out for beer. Both downtown close to bart so you can probably stop by on your way to the city. Actually if you head down to Revolution you should also stop by Heinold's First and Last Chance Saloon on Jack London...

Contaminated...but with what? And can I do anything about it?

35 minutes would be plenty of time for the mold that your house is infected with to drop into your wort. Try getting a roll of wide aluminum foil, sanitizing it, and putting it over the kettle while you cool the wort. Between that, new yeast, and cleaning out the ball valve, I would bet you'll...

can I put a valve in my beer line?

Am I using the wrong tubing in my beer lines? I use 1/4" ID vinyl tubing, don't see why a plastic tubing clamp wouldn't work on that. Is "real" beverage tubing different?
