I brewed that exact recipe last March. Mashed at 149 and the 3711 brought it from 1.060 to 1.001. It had a real nice level of ester and spice, better than other yeasts I've used. If I brewed it again I would probably up the rye a bit, and not sub in American pils for continental.

What are you looking for from 3 Floyds? I've got Dreadnaught and Alpha Klaus and any of their regular offerings. Bells 2 Hearted and Founders Breakfast Stout are easy to get too.

I don't want to give Ghoti more work, but is there a way to add an ID number to splits or some other way to see if a split you are on is full or not? It seems there may be multiple Simcoe splits due to people dropping out of previously full splits.

I think for hops buys it is better to default to 11. I want in on the Simcoe, but I don't want 3.67 pounds of it on the open order.

Are we supposed to be going off the availability list you posted in the Group Buy #6 thread, or are all of these available? I'd hate to waste time doing splits of hops that aren't even available right now.
