The zippered bags with the vacuum port kind of work. They will loose the seal over time. After I vacuum out those bags, I put a piece of clear packing tape over the port to help keep it sealed while in the freezer. But even then they will loose the seal although it does seam to last longer

It wouldn't hurt. What kind of line do you have now? If you don't have EVA barrier line, now would be a good time to switch. And I would get plenty of extra to outfit the new with it too (if it doesn't come with it).

If it makes you feel any better, you're not alone. I have the same thing going on with my Centennial. Happened last year too but I chalked that up to trying to harvest too late in the year (got busy and had no time, by then it was too late). Same thing this year and I'm note sure why either...

Are you using Rahr 2 row? That's pre-acidified somewhat to start with. To get around it, need to adjust the color, choose the SRM to be 5 instead of 2.

Breakside is good too but a little closer to a "commercial" brewery than a smaller independent one. Brujos has some higher ABV IPAs than can catch you off guard rather quick. They don't drink like 8+ ABV beers......

I was going to use the kegland attachment in a 2L to put the beer in AND to get it out after freezing. Will that still work?

The portion that freezes will be at the top, with liquid at the bottom? Or is it the other way around?

So, I have a finished beer that I want to see if I can up the ABV on. Beer SG 1.062, FG 1.008 so about 7% ABV currently. If I transfer the finished beer into a 2 liter bottle, freeze it then transfer the unfrozen liquid to another bottle, will that essentially work? Any way to predict what the...
