Listermann's is great. It's located in Norwood, right by Xavier if you are familiar with that area. I am lucky, it's only about 5 minutes from my house.
I am in the process of putting together a jockey box but I am having trouble finding a decent deal on a cold plate. I'm not having much luck on ebay so I thought I'd see if I could find one on here.
I am also looking for a faucet/shank combo or two.
After seeing fall-line's build I was inspired to do something similar. I love the look of the vintage metal Coleman coolers so I hit craigslist looking for one. Within a few hours of posting a wanted ad I found a guy with the following cooler which I bought for $20 this morning.
Not quite...
I love this project. I am in the process of finding an old Coleman cooler to make the same thing for tailgating and outdoor parties. This looks so much nicer than the jockey boxes made out of new plastic coolers.
I known none of my friends down here have any hvac experience but I will ask around. I'm going to look around online, too, to see if I can figure it out. I'd consider myself an above average DIYer so it might be something I could figure out.
Yeah, I'm just having trouble finding much information on the fridge. The only reference I had, which is why I made the thread, was from the site that has it listed for $5800. I was seeing (potential) dollar signs. :)
Thanks for the info. That's crazy that restored they could be worth up ~20x more than unrestored. Wonder how much it would take me to get it up and running smoothly. All of the pieces, at least the exterior, are in great shape. It would only take a little elbow grease to polish them up all nice...
I just plugged it in real quick and nothing kicked on. Not sure how long I should have waited but there wasn't instant feedback and I gotta run to work. When I get home tonight I'll plug it in and let it sit for a while to see if anything starts running.
