I found a 7.2 cuft. Chest Freezer on Craigslist and made a Kegerator that holds 6 cornys or 4 cornys and CO2
you'll just have to put a Temp. Regulator on it.
I switch to secondary once bubbling has subsided usually 1 week for an Ale.
Then a week in the secondary. Never had a problem but I am impatient and want to drink now, which is why I switched to kegging.
That explains why the propane goes so fast. I might have TSC fill it up for me from now on.
I started steeping w/ 3 gallons on the stove then adding it to the fryer water for the full boil. It seems to help on propane rather than heating 5 gallons to steeping temp. waiting then going full boil
I did the same thing on my first batch but didn't have your presence of mind. Without thinking I went in after it and spent 4 weeks praying to the beer gods. Turned out to be one of the best batches I've ever made.
I really like the NB Nut Brown Kit and you'll love the Turkey Fryer! My wife is sensitive to smells but loves my homebrews. Now I fire up the Fryer in the garage and the hops don't smell up the house. Heating 5 Gallons to a boil eats up the propane though :(
