Thanks for all the replies. I don’t plan on doing a secondary. I use a conical fermenter, so when I hit my final gravity, I will remove the yeast bottle on the bottom and add the spices. Thanks again.
I’m brewing, or trying to brew, an IPA. The recipe says, for the hop addition, “Steep/Whirlpool 20 minutes”. Do I add this for the last 20 minutes of the boil or do I add this at the end and steep it for an additional 20 minutes?

There are 4 wires coming from the breaker but as you said the heater only needs 3. I'd like to keep the gfi protection but I don't know how to wire this. Thanks for any help.
I have a 5500 watt heater in a brew pot controlled manually through an SSR. I have a gfci 30 amp breaker with 4 conductor cable out, 2 hots, a ground and a neutral. The heater only uses the two hots and a ground. What do I do with the neutral wire. Left disconnected, the gfci breaker trips...

I'm such an idiot. I appreciate all the responses. I ordered the relay that was recommended. I installed it without looking at it. Surely it couldn't be a DC relay..........well expletive. It was a DC relay. I bypassed it and repowered just fine. Now I'm trying to figure out how to get the PIDs...
