    I made a yeast starter about 2 1/2 to 3 weeks ago with wyeast 1084. It's still in the flask with tin foil over the top in the fridge. my question would it still be viable if I step it up again? Or should I Chuck it and start new Life has gotten in my way these past weeks

    The stout was a very simple recipe. I will do it and report back in a week after the brewfest. What can hurt I through another batch away😞

    Something was up with my flow from mash tun to pump. Thought it was stuck so I blew air back into the hose connected to the mash tun, think that's when I made the inside manifold to come disconnected. Then all down hill from there.

    I was hoping to do a English dark mild for a brewfest coming up in a week and a half, but my sparge kept getting stuck numerous times and I threw it out😭. Just got too mad. My first one in5 years of brewing. But I read a blog by maltose falcons that there is a recipe for their beer diva...

    Quick Irish Dry stout

    This is actually for a brew fest coming up in 2 weeks. Thinking something like 6or so lbs maris otter, 1.5lbs flaked barley, 1/2 lbs roasted barley hopped w/ northern brewer. O.G. Of around 1040-45. Very sessionable stout. But on nitrogen. Soun d ok?

    I have read too that hoppy beers "lose" some of their character when on nitrogen. What about a wheat beer?! Hmm. Thanks for all the input
