Cooling conical from inside or outside.

I am planning on adding a glycol cooling system to stainless conical. For those who have a cooling coil inside do you find it hard to keep clean and sanitize? Would wrapping the coil around the outside be a better option? I know it won't be as efficient but it would not involve cleaning and...

    RIMS Vacuum Gauge, useful?

I am putting together a RIMS setup and found a few posts about using a vacuum gauge before the pump to make sure the grain bed is not getting too compacted. Wondering how many people actually use them and how useful they actually are? For $20 ill probably try it. Thoughts / tips appreciated.

    Options for Immersion Chiller Inlet

I am not sure if this is the correct one for your sink but you should be able to unscrew the the aerator and use a standard adapter. http://www.deltafaucet.com/repairparts/details/rp46858.html

    All Stainless Heatstick design

Here is one I made a couple of years ago. The hardest part was getting the local machine shop to tap the adapter for the element. Glad to see there is a place to buy them now. I used 1/2 stainless pipe instead of all sanitary. It displaces less volume and cost much less. I made it so it hangs...

Heatstick of doom! Start with wiring Qs.

Joe I am looking to build heat stick like you did. Can you elaborate on the way you ended up threading in the element. The elements are NPS threads, how did you get it to work with NPT coupler? I did you mount the coupler on the inside, outside, or middle of the end cap? Thanks AJ
