I am putting together a RIMS setup and found a few posts about using a vacuum gauge before the pump to make sure the grain bed is not getting too compacted. Wondering how many people actually use them and how useful they actually are? For $20 ill probably try it. Thoughts / tips appreciated.
I am not sure if this is the correct one for your sink but you should be able to unscrew the the aerator and use a standard adapter.

Joe I am looking to build heat stick like you did. Can you elaborate on the way you ended up threading in the element. The elements are NPS threads, how did you get it to work with NPT coupler? I did you mount the coupler on the inside,outside, or middle of the end cap?
