    Fresh pumpkin vs canned pumpkin

Has anyone ever tried making a pumpkin beer with canned pumpkin PIE MIX? My thoughts are that there would be too much sugar and I envision a very active fermentation, but not quite sure.

3 Year Old Kegged Homebrew...Still Good?

OK...here's the verdict: I tried it a few days ago, and thought that I would give myself sometime to see if I ended up in the hospital. Luckily, I am still mobile. For anyone caught in the same predicament, it wasn't a bad beer, it just wasn't that good. I am a stickler to a sanitary...

    My Brutus Build

VT: That looks great! Excellent job. I will take your pointers into account as I am a welding/fabrication NEWB, but like you, always tend to find a way out of the enormous hole I have dug. I polished my keggles using my angle grinder and a gator grit blending/polishing fine grit disc. They look...

    Greetings from Tampa!

I feel like I spent 100 times that with all the advice and help I have received from everybody on this site. I felt like a cheater just being a visitor, and of course did the math. 5 years of premium, or a one-time Lifetime? Assuming I can squeak out another 60 years, that's only $2.08 per year...

any northern maine home brewers out there?

Born and raised in Southern Maine, much further south now. Miss it though. Most of the pubs, homebrew shops, etc. were from Portsmouth up to Bangor area. I agree though, there are a lot of free/reduced shipping deals out there, and this site has been an excellent resource.

3 Year Old Kegged Homebrew...Still Good?

I figured I would take some crap for "losing" this beer. I almost thought of some witty/tough lie. How about we just pretend that I've been in jail for the past three years, and just got out? I'll let you all know how my "Freedom Wit" tastes. Thanks for the input.

3 Year Old Kegged Homebrew...Still Good?

So I was cleaning out my brew room, when I noticed a Belgian Wit that I brewed (extract) on 10/14/06! It was kegged, and oxygen-purged. Does anyone know of any dangers in drinking this? Other than taste, could I be getting myself into trouble?

    Sourcing a Hurricane Burner

Well, you have officially convinced me to go Hurricane rather than jet burner for my Brutus clone. The only problem, is that I can't find a source with it in stock, other than cooking.com, but their shipping is outrageous, and per piece. Also found some real shady online site. Anyone have any...
