Mash Tun Recirculation and stuck sparge

My braid was stainless, but had warped due to the other stuck sparges. As an update, I think I know what was happening in may case. After creating a cpvc manifold, it happened again. I believe what was happening is the piece of aluminum I was using to try and disperse the recirculation...

Mash Tun Recirculation and stuck sparge

For a second batch in a row I've had a stuck batch sparge. I know it's related to recirculating the wort using my pump, but I cut the flow way down. I'm currently using a 3/4" braid and it seems like it may have been crushed and just isn't letting the wort flow. Has anyone else had any...

tough brew day - stuck batch sparge?

    Vacuum Sealers

I have a foodsaver I bought from Costco and then I bought the mason jar attachment off of Amazon and store all the hops in mason jars. Works very well and I don't have to buy bags for the hops. Most of the foodsaver units have the attachment port

Tips on keeping the Mrs. happy

Outside is the key. I keep all my equipment in the basement and brew outside. Typically anything I don't do outside I do in the basement bathroom which is pretty much mine to clean anyway. The one time I tried to clean my MLT in the kitchen I never heard the end of it. My hoses outside were...

    Blichmann Alternatives

I think his point is those options don't cost an additional $200+ and it is nice to give the consumer an option. I personally think it's a good business decision to offer options for those that want them.

    AG Kettle question

Thanks for the response! If you did have a higher boiloff, how would that make you unable to make a lower gravity? I really appreciate the information
