    "Kraut" Kit from Farmsteady

Have fun! Homemade kraut is amazingly good and so easy to do. My wife picked up some jarred kraut from Aldi's recently that was purple cabbage with a bit of apple in it. I really like it. I was thinking next time I make some kraut I might try adding a little fresh finely chopped apple just...

    GOOD on Netflix STREAMING?

Yeah, I just mentioned that a few posts back. If anything it should have more nuance, not less.

    GOOD on Netflix STREAMING?

I hate that Netflix has switched from the star rating system to a thumbs up/thumbs down system. What are they thinking? Sometimes I take the time to look at ratings outside of Netflix before I try a show out but it's a pain to do it every time. I thought the old rating system was pretty decent.

    GOOD on Netflix STREAMING?

I wanted to watch this so bad but John Lithgow as Churchill is just so hard for me to get past. I'll try again. Love Lithgow but it's an odd choice to me.

Anyone fixed their own sewer line?

Thanks @Jaybird! That is truly a horror story! I figured there'd be some of those as well. The plumber today was telling me about a brand new house where they had to completely redo the sewage line for some reason. I can't imagine. I tell ya, I feel really good just getting a shower in today...

Anyone fixed their own sewer line?

Hey, thanks. It's a public sewer and there's no visible clean-out outside anywhere. Ok, that makes sense about the dirt. It's pretty expensive to have them do the video thing and this plumber already charged me a ****load for just cleaning the line. :) I may still try to do the video...

Anyone fixed their own sewer line?

Thanks PP but I'm pretty sure. I won't be 100% sure until I can see inside it but two different plumbers have told me the same thing now. In my house the sewage line starts in the basement under a slab and runs out to the back yard. What the guy today said is that they're getting dirt on the...

Anyone fixed their own sewer line?

Make me feel better with your success stories please. We apparently have a break in ours. I still have to get it scoped to see exactly what and where the problem is but it's likely a huge tree in the back causing the problem. I'm almost certainly going to have to replace a section myself. At...

    Will collagen hydrolysate fine beer?

Haha! I mostly chickened out. I'd read that pork collagen had a stronger opposite charge or something than beef collagen and thus would work better so I decided to just use Knox combined with just a little bit of this stuff. I only have one Oktoberfest right now and I didn't want to take a...

    Will collagen hydrolysate fine beer?

I'm trying to set a record for obscure threads. :D I'm going to try it in a couple of weeks or so in a new beer. Since it has the ability to dissolve in cold liquids I think I'm going to just put the powder straight into the beer and see what happens.

    Classic Tunes

Nice one! Yeah, Pete's poor guitars! Everytime they show Entwistle I think of Harry Shearer in Spinal Tap. :D
