Do you need to do a yeast starter with this recipie?

Hello: Would love to brew Nilo extract from page 44, but with a higher abv like his Nilo #8. Any ideas how I can adjust the extract. Thanks.

What are some of the final abvs you guys are getting with the clone when its done. 5.5 + % would be nice.

I did this Kit last week as well. Any ideas if we want to brew our own again without going through NB......., what type of grains they used......oz? The hops oz. and #'s of extract syrups are straight forwards from the instructions. But the amount of grains for a 5gal is what I'd like...

Really like this beer, but hard to get on tap. Would love to make a 5 or 10 gal batch. I tried a search on here but no luck. Anyone made this beer before or something very similar. I know there are grapefruit tones in there. Thanks for any help. Jonathan (Cali)

I started home brewing 5 years ago and stopped 2 years after my son was born. Barely got back into it last week and I always wondered where my brew went wrong. I used an 15 gal keggle ported. I would make 5-gal and 10 gal batches. Sometimes I swear I kept everything sanitized, but in the end...
