What size kettle will i need for a 5 gallon batches? I have been told 10 and 15 gallon kettles.
The larger kettle, and a a secondary kettle for sparge water should be the only thing i need right...
How different is a full grain brew vs grain/extract?
I have been doing the brewers best kits which is both grain and extract(at least the ones ive used)

Now are decided to go back on the diet for the foreseeable future

Not sure if this is normal but my bottled beer seems to have no head.
This was the case with my 1st brew and i just assumed i did something wrong, but second batch is the same.
They seems to be carbonated enough( both sat for 3 weeks before drinking/fridge time)

I check the bottom of a coupel other bottles and they had the gunk in there too.

I checked a couple bottles and a few have the sediment in the bottom but cant see any floaties.
I have a beer in the fridge right now and was gonna test it when i got home.

Im sitting at nearly 3 weeks bottled. I opened my test bottle to check carbination and it seemed great(although it was only half full) But it had a lot of floaties and sediment in the bottle(see pics)
Is this normal? Also not sure how its supposed to smell? Kinda vanillaish? have not...
