Is anyone else bothered by the passing of Greg Noonan?

Almost as old as this thread! :D

How Many Gallons Brewed In 2021

1888.51 gallons + 21.00 gallons Norfolk Pilsner + 5.50 gallons Finnegan's Red + 11.00 gallons Rice Light Lager + 5.50 gallons Norpils w/ Mucich 1931.51 gallons. All these decimal places have me wondering how accurate everyone else is with their measuring? I'm eyeballing between the...

What's everyone's experiences with brewing for volume?

Excellent points, I didn't think about hop losses at all. I typically don't brew anything excessively hoppy, 90% of my batches only have 1-2oz in them. Definitely something to consider. I don't use beersmith, but I keep a running log in Excel to track grain absorption and boiloff numbers to help...

What else do you "brew" (and keg non-alcoholic)

I've done ginger ale a few times, really tasty! Planning on some sparkling lemonade come summer

What's everyone's experiences with brewing for volume?

Some good thoughts there, but the wedding part was really only incidental to my interest in various techniques to "brew more", and make the most out of any given system.

What's everyone's experiences with brewing for volume?

I'm going to lead off with my own experiences, but I'm posting with the hopes that this spurs some discussion from everyone about how they brew for volume. Background: I'm getting married in August, and I'm planning on serving my light lager recipe during dinner and possibly throughout the...

New post a picture of your pint

That looks amazing. Excellent glassware choice, my favourite for that style.

You know you're a home brewer when?

I totally agree when it's single or a couple bottles. But I've been giving cases to my uncles lately.

How to make this beer enjoyable.

    Another vote for in-the-glass shandy

New post a picture of your pint

Fearin's Dry Irish Stout - my Guinness clone. Also, just got a text from my Irish coworker who I gave a bottle to today - 5 stars from him!

You know you're a home brewer when?

I have so much bottle regret. 3 or 4 years ago I had a fleet of a couple hundred, all matching, in 6pack boxes from a work open house that served a local craft brewery all night. And, 2 years ago when I switch to kegging, thought, nah, I'll never need that many again. Told my dad he could get...

    Show Us Your Label

Thanks guys, I will go with black! Gonna do one beige just to see it exist as well. Sharing some bottles at work, first time at this workplace, plus two coworkers are actually Irish... no pressure!

    Show Us Your Label

Also got my St. Patrick's day labels ready: I haven't decided if I want to go with the black or beige label for the stout. This is the first time I've used names other than my own to brand a beer. Fearin is the last name of my 4x great grandmother, who immigrated to Canada in the 1800's. I...
