    Brewpub equipment

This thread is a little old, but I'm in the planning phases of a brewery myself and am interested in where you got those 85 gallon plastic conicals from? I've seen plastic conicals before, but none that large. That'd be a great savings to me as the Stout Tanks & Fermenters 3 bbl system only...

Starting Keg Conversions for a 3 Vessel E-Herms System

I'm already aware this is a stupid question, because I know what it is just not what it's called. But what's the official name of the insulation around your keggles called? What temperature is it rated for? I'm looking to build a system similar to yours and wanted this insulation for at least...

what people who dont know better do with cornies

Hey there $50 now... Maybe you should call him again!

The myth of the <$50 corny keg

My LHBS sells ball lock kegs for only $40 too. Sounds like prices are just more in that area ("higher standard of living" maybe?). I've seen a lot of people converting pin lock corny's to ball locks and prices I've seen online are $30-$40, but shipping is what gets you. I have one that is a...

Well then you're fine... Buy away my friend and happy brewing! :ban:

    Kegging kit

I can't believe someone hasn't posted this yet, but you'll find that most people will recommend longer beer lines for your picnic faucet (or tower, doesn't matter). Most veteran keggers are running 10ft beer lines for more resistance thus less foam. My beer lines to my tower are only 6ft and I...

    Big Enough BrewPot?

An 8qt pot is only quivalent to 2 gallons... Are you trying to brew 5 gallon batches? If so that will not suffice. That's not going to suffice for 2.5 gallon batches either. You'll definitely need/want more space. I'd strongly suggest just investing a little more money and getting a 8-8.5...

Anyone using this Dual Guage Co2 regulator?

Yeah, I never use teflon tape on the tank and don't have any problems with my current regular, but it seems to be a little more solid (metal parts vs. plastic). I don't foresee there being a problem, but I like the information and input you guys on the forum can provide. So I make it a note to...

Anyone using this Dual Guage Co2 regulator?

I was originally looking for a dual guage regulator and just the attachment that will provide Co2 to two kegs. Then I found this regulator: http://www.micromatic.com/draft-keg-beer/regulators-pid-842-2.html but I'm highly paranoid about my Co2 leaking and I see some plastic parts that worry...

    N00B @ kegs

Yeah, that's possible. I wouldn't think that'd be the case seeing as most of the sediment had already been removed through secondary fermentation/settling, I also use a screen to filter out any large particles when I transfer to fermentor... There was also no visible sediment in the glass I...

    N00B @ kegs

That's what I expected to hear back and was what I was thinking in the back of my mind. Thanks for the quick responses on that. Does anyone know what might be up with my first question/issue?

    N00B @ kegs

I'm also new to kegging beer and just bought my single tap tower kegerator and 5 gallon ball lock corny keg, so I'm going to piggy-back off this post. I'm doing the "set and forget" method at 12-15psi for about 2 weeks and have had it kegged and under pressure since Monday night. However...
