    Re-introduction post.

Ive been a member of this forum for a while. Made a few posts, learned a pile of stuff. Been brewing for about 12-13 years now. Life got in the way of posting on a regular basis. Brewing was slowed, and now Im brewing 2-3 batches a month or more, and drinking more beer than I used to so the...

    Toppling Goliath Mornin' Delight clone??

Had this this weekend at Hunahpu Day. Want to make it, or something close badly. Anyone have any clue on it? 12.8% Imperial Stout. Definitely tasted pecan, tons of coffee, chocolate, maple, and the rest was just awesome juice! (Hunahpu Day was a mess)

    Joe's Ancient Orange Mead

I made two batches yesterday of this. But I think I messed up. I did not dissolve the honey prior to putting in the carboy. It has all settled at the bottom. I have shaken it like a crying baby, but it will not mix with the water. Should I heat it up? Then re pitch yeast? Or just leave it...

How do I tell my husband that I can't drink our delicious brew for 9 months?

Congrats! Find a pic of a sonigram online and make a label for a Barleywine and show it to him. He should "get it" then!

    How nasty is too nasty?

Fill up the tub with HOT water and OxyClean, and soak them for 2 days. EVERYTHING will come out. Use a bottle brush, and make sure you rinse all the cleaner out when done. I have had some very very nasty bottles that I have brought back to life with mold, bugs, ashes, etc. I think there...

    Citra SMaSH IPA

Chris, I just made a Citra SMaSH two days ago. 15 lbs belgian. and did 3/4 oz citra hops at 60,30, and 10 mins. Will dry hop with 2 oz Citra. Should be a nice brew. OG was at 1.076. Used US05 yeast

    Best way to add coffee???

I usually add 2 oz ground coffee at flameout and that is plenty. If not, cold press some and add to secondary.

    KBS Clone Recipe in Zymurgy!

Not very good on the efficiency. I ended at 1.081. Got it cooled down to about 68, pitched the yeast and set it right next to the 2row/Citra SMaSH brew I did yesterday. Hard to believe its been about 8 months since Ive brewed. Glad I got it going again! Now I need to clean some kegs and lines.

    KBS Clone Recipe in Zymurgy!

Well, its time to brew this again. I am using the same recipe, but I am changing up the chocolate, and bourbon, I am adding more this time around. Of both. And just a tad less coffee. I am doing one oz at flame out. I am doing 1.5 oz cold press. Should be good. I ended up at 158 for...

    KBS Clone Recipe in Zymurgy!

Ok, so.......Life has really been a little too busy. I moved, rehabbed the house, and have not brewed in months. I feel as though there is a void in my life. I lost 45 lbs. and life is good (besides not brewing). This stuff turned out awesome! Out of everyone who has tried it, AND...
