That's the exact one that I made... I made a two gallon batch though. I will say this, I had to re-pitch the yeast because the first time it started from a slow fermentation to none at all. It's going good now. It was my fault though, I didn't cool the wort enough before pitching the first time...

    The taste of Failure...

Since my last post I have done this... Started the mr. Beer kits in my conical fermenter. Leave it there for two weeks as primary. Move the beer into two one gallon fermenters to secondary adding gelatin to help clear the beer. Leave it in secondary for a week. On the day of bottling I will...

The chocolate note comes from the grain, very strong though, but I did indeed use real maple with a touch of fuggel hops.

    How long should...

Would a month or two be good to let it settle and mature?

    How long should...

I let my cherry wheat condition in the bottle? I had a taste as a bottled, very promising. This was the label I made for it.

    Conical Fermenter

Just wondering, I am using my conical fermenter for the first time, my batch starts looking clear exactly at the point were the conical shape begins and above. I think it's because of the light passing through it, but I worry the extract and water didn't mix well.

    Need advice on...

I am going to try kegging my first batch ever, I usually carbonate naturally, is there any way to carbonate the beer without putting it in a fridge or a colder environment, I live in an apartment and don't have the room for such conveniences. I guess I could put it in an ice bath.

Moving up in the world... Kinda

I did some research and purchased a conical fermenter along with a kegerator kit. Is it possible to carbonate the keg without chilling it? I live in an apartment and don't have the room for a fridge.

    The taste of Failure...

I too started with MR. BEER, and had terrible results, I mean terrible! I was more upset that I bought a bunch of recipes to start off with. I found the Brooklyn Brew Shop kits (all grain) and had success. I started brewing the extracts from MR. BEER in the one gallon fermenter from Brooklyn...

Moving up in the world... Kinda

I am currently brewing on a small scale, one gallon batches... I have been having pretty good success and have managed to hone my skills thus far. I am looking to start moving into five gallon batches, can you guys suggest any good and reliable kits?
