    Is the yeast ok?

    I don't think mold can form in less than 24 hours but I'm no expert. It seems to have settled down a bit, looks normal except for one black patch. I'm still not sure what black means here.

    Is the yeast ok?

    For high alcohol kombucha: I already made the kombucha, took out the scoby, and now I'm in the 30 day alcohol stage.... I added the yeast yesterday (so that yeast was brand new from a packet 20 hours ago). White Wine yeast, two packages for 5 gal carboy. But it looks black on top. Is that ok...
