    EVA Barrier Length

I think that’s ok if I go for short line, though, right?

    EVA Barrier Length

I haven’t gotten around to switching out the lines yet but I picked up one of these Duotight flow control QD’s and was going to try it with the 4mm ID line to see if I could go even shorter in my kegerator

    Fermzilla Hop Bong Lid

Yea, I’ve thought about picking up a second fermzilla but would need another temp twister too. Still cheaper than a SS fermenter with temp control!

    Fermzilla Hop Bong Lid

I’ve been putting this off for exactly this reason. I do have a pipe bender from when I built a wort chiller but I haven’t figured out the best way to measure the 11 degree bend MoreBeer recommends 🤣

    Small batch on Brewzilla 3.5L

David Heath’s original Gen4 video suggested it can do 1 gallon batches, I believe.

small sparge volume in an aio

I’ve experimented with sparge and no-sparge on my Gen4 BrewZilla. The no-sparge was definitely simpler, but my efficiency was abysmal. I’m sure with more experimentation I could bring it up, but the obvious balance to the lower efficiency is more grain, and for a lot of the stuff I’m doing for a...

    Brewzilla Gen4 Discussion/Tips Talk

So are you using PID and the BT probe together? The Kegland video on the two seems to suggest it’s either-or and I’ve seen a lot of people say they turned off PID once they added the probe but it seems to me like both together gets you a more accurate temperate and prevents overshoots. I tested...

    Brewzilla Gen4 Discussion/Tips Talk

Sorry I just saw this! All is well; I didn’t think about the fact that the center screw would sit in the center drain, so inside the unit itself everything sits correctly.

    Brewzilla Gen4 Discussion/Tips Talk

I threw another washer between the wing nut and the HED just to disperse the tension a bit BUT at around 5:30 this morning I had the realization that once inside the unit, the longer screw sits in the center drain and so the off-balance I mentioned when placing it on the table after assembly...

    Brewzilla Gen4 Discussion/Tips Talk

Odd. Even the KegLand video where they introduce the HED after he assembles it and places it down you can see it doesn’t sit flat.

    Brewzilla Gen4 Discussion/Tips Talk

Just got the HED and attached it to the false bottom. Unless I’m missing something, the false bottom’s feet don’t sit flat anymore — the screw of the eye hook now sits lower and so the whole thing sort of tilts on the center axis. That seems like a problem, as the false bottom can sit at an...

Are you measuring the water before you fill the Gen4? How do you know how much water you’ve got if you have the malt pipe in there already?

What came in the mail for you today?

Are they connected in series to the cooler for temp control?
