Starting a brew house at West Point; Conicals and more!!

Take alot of notes. Every system is different (heat loss from HLT to MLT, ect.). Learn from every mistake. Bigger system equals bigger problems. Always keep a set of tools near by. And have a good game plan. And wait until your wort is cooling before having a homebrew! Good luck!

    burn marks inside keggle

The burn marks were created by to much heat being applied to the outside of the keggle (to much grinding in a specific spot). I have polished 3 of them, so far this one was the roughest of them all. Therefore I had to go a little harder with the medium pad. I was too aggressive on a few areas...

    burn marks inside keggle

I was polishing up one of my keggles yesterday and when I was done I noticed a few burn marks had appeared on the inside. I was wondering if there was a way to remove them? I know they wont cause harm to the beer, just looks bad. Any ideas? Thanks

    C02 Regulator Problem

Morebeer said that the fermentap regulator only goes up to 25 psi before the safety valve opens. Why the website says 60?? They couldn't tell me....anyway I got the upgrade for $14 more, well worth it. I would stay away from the fermentap for sure!

    c02 regulator problem

Hi all, Just got a new fermentap c02 regulator from morebeer, when I went to force carbonate the safety valve on the regulator started hissing at 25 psi. Fermentap claims that the valve is set to open at 60 psi. Any thoughts as to why this would happen? Is it just a defective valve...

    cloudy carboy

I got an older carboy from a friend that was real dirty. So i cleaned it with oxy clean, and it hazed up the glass really bad on the inside. I have never had this happen with my other carboys, is it ruined? Why would it do this?
