No effects on the beer with using brass? i thought i read somewhere that using brass with beer is harmful....its ok pre-fermentation...but afterwards its harmful? maybe i'm wrong...:drunk:
I'm currently doing the same thing to mine, curious what you used for a diptube? or did you just make one? and the barb's and connections, are they brass? or SS?

yuppers....that's what i was thinking anyways....then just take your picnic tap off, slide line over nipple...then attach with the beer nut and washer and you " should " be good to go if all goes well and its the same thread.
i received an early christmas gift of my first child, my daughter arrived on the 17th.....couldn't of asked for anything better. Received gifts xmas morning but nothing compared to this. Happy Holidays Everyone!!!!
you will need to buy a temperature controller to convert it to fridge temps so it don't freeze your beer....but to answer your question..yes, ok to do.
after re-reading your post....i'm confused, or maybe i've drank too much tonight...but your system is pinlock...you're only able to find 3gal pinlocks...and you want to know if you can just replace the pinlock posts with pinlock???
