No but I have pitched a primary (DCL T58) ONTO a secondary of Danstar Nottingham it went from 1.012 to 1.008 in about 3 days and it kept its peppery edge T58 is the best!!!!!!
I used to add frozen tap water from 2 liter pop bottles to my wort to cool it but like Janx said it does water it down big time. Now I put the kettle in the sink with water and gently stir the wort and turn the kettle in the opposite direction like the wine/beer chillers you see at the liquor...
Thanks Janx thats exactly what I was getting at. It was my first time using gelatine. I would definitly recomend it, although I will not be cracking one till this weekend. I've never had a beer this clear ( I use grolsch bottles) :D
Will I need to repitch some yeast to bottle condition a 1.070 SG to 1.008 FG ale using safbrew T 58 10 days Then lagering on notingham @45 F for a week with 1/2 tsp Gelatine for finning?
P.S. I am not one of those completely anal brewers you know... you must cut off your left nut if it...
