    So who's brewing this weekend?

    I'll be bottling my first ever brew this weekend, a cream ale from an extract kit. Using the cake to teach my buddy how to brew, he's got himself a grain bag and a recipe for a pale ale he wants to try. If it goes well I'll be switching over to BIAB myself on the next batch. Cheers!

    Made a stupid mistake

    I brewed yesterday and did the same thing, asked the same question. The response I got coupled with my own further reading suggests that you'll be fine, with slightly stronger beer (and slightly less) beer. My guess is that it will take a little longer for the yeast to deal with the thicker...

    Awesome, thanks for the encouragement. I know it will definitely be beer, I just hope it doesn't suck. Next step is another fermenter so I can keep the pipeline going. Cheers!

    Hey home brewers. So I just finished my first brew yesterday, it was a Brewers best cream ale extract kit, and things didn't go exactly according to plan. First off, I intended to brew outside, but there were some issues with the burner so I ended up having to brew inside, had a hard time...
