    Need help choosing fruit in mead

    I just picked up some prickly pear cactus fruits last night for mead based on a recipe in Charlie Papazians "The Complete Joy of Homebrewing". He raves about it as the best he's ever had, not sure if it has to do with the fruit or other parts of the recipe.
