I have a batch in a secondary that I didn't have a chance to bottle prior to starting a new work assignment about 6 months ago. The airlock has been in place since putting it in the secondary. Any advice on if I should go ahead and bottle or dump and start fresh would be great!

I just started brewing yesterday. I picked up all the supplies at a somewhat local store. After checking online I came across Bells.com which had the 3lb bag of DME for $10.99 while I paid $15.99...big difference.
So I was wondering if anyone knows where I can get DME and others...

thank you for the help...as for lossing a little out the top. Do you mean the carboy? Because it is currently in a closet with jacket hanging above.:o
Ok so I setup the blow off tube into a gallon pitcher that's filled 1/3 with sani/water. I placed that pitcher in a 3 gallon bucket. Now should I still expect the carboy to overflow?
