Hi,
I just started brewing and I steeped my muslim bag as directed, but there are floating particles in the wort now that it has been soaking for about 25 minutes. I kept the temp. between 150-165 as directed and I was wondering if this is normal or not. If not, what should I do?
I am about to buy a kegging system and I am having trouble deciding which is best.

These are the two that I am torn between thus...
The gravity has not changed, it is in a plastic bucket with an airlock. The yeast was stored in the basement as well, so I am guessing I will need to get more. Will the beer be okay to sit for a few more days while I wait for the yeast?
I have not brewed in about 6 months and during that time I had a black ale kit sitting in a sealed container in my basement. I finally decided to brew it and 6 days later it is showing no signs of fermentation. I am worried that the yeast may have died while in storage. Any recommendations?

Ok I know that this is not the correct place to post this question, I just don't know where else to post it. I am having a bunch of people come up next week and I have heard that rum is quick and relatively easy to make. Can anybody give me a play by play of how I could make it?
I just bottled my first batch of IPA on Sunday and so far I have yet to have any bottles bust on me, but when I looked at them today, there seems to be a thin layer of sediment on the bottom. Is this normal?
I was thinking about using wax to close the holes and keep the airlock in place, only I would have to be very careful when cleaning the lid. Any thoughts?
