    Storing unused kegs in keezer

Hey all. Quick question. Would it hurt anything to store unused corny kegs in my keezer with tap water in them? If so, should I leave them open or shut? I have a 7 tap keezer that’s no where near populated right now and the extra liquid would sure help maintain the temp and extend my cycles...

    Too Fast at 10 psi

Thanks for the help everyone, got the lines changed out with proper lengthed 3/16. Lines are flowing much friendlier now. Cheers!

    Too Fast at 10 psi

I'm trying to find the math, if I carbed at straight 12 the whole time, how long would that take to hit 2.4? I'm mainly brewing pale ales at the moment. Also, it seems most tap shanks are 1/4 barb. Are you guys using reducers?

    Too Fast at 10 psi

Alright, I'll release the pressure over the next few days and get 3/16 lines to replace the 1/4. And re-evaluate my force carb method as well. Thanks everyone.

    Too Fast at 10 psi

I'm going to go out on a limb here and say that turning the serving pressure down to 2psi is the wrong way right? Haha

    Too Fast at 10 psi

I see, so with these calculations, 1/4 inch line causes me to need 40ish feet, If I move to 3/16, 8 feet. That is a major bummer as all my beer line equipment is 1/4. Thank you for this, I will make some changes and move on from here.

    Too Fast at 10 psi

I'm at a loss and need an expert. My system temp is set for 37, it's a big keezer and may be around 43 ish realistically. I've carbed at 25 for a week about a week ago, the keg has been sitting under 10 to 12 psi since. The beer still seems to pour really fast, fills the glass with half...

    Freezer Hinge Holding Weight

I will most likely use something like a broom stick. I just do want to be able to open up the collar for keg swaps. And thanks, its been a fun and fully educational project. Literally learned everything i had to do in the last few months haha Cheers!

    Freezer Hinge Holding Weight

I didn't even think of a prop rod, that will be my only reason for raising the collar as well. And I will try attaching the hinges today. And yes, I know the wood isn't a good insulator but I was trying my hardest to not break the bank. I have insulation boards that are not yet installed, they...

    Freezer Hinge Holding Weight

Thank you for your kind words. This is my first ever wood working project so it's nice to hear I'm doing something right. As for the hinging, I'd simply like to double hinge. I don't have any issues doing so, I was just wondering if my hinges would support the load. The last thing I want is to...

    Freezer Hinge Holding Weight

As I hate polluted threading, I really hope this isn't answered somewhere else. I have built my 7 tap keezer out of a 13(12.9)c.u. ft Fridigaire Freezer. The inner collar is made up of 2x8's and the outer collar is 1x10's. 4 bolts on each of the front three sides. And then some light...
