    All Grain - Sonnenstrahl (Kölsch)

Thanks for this, hope to brew it in a week or so, I've been on a Kölsch style kick. No Irish moss additions or anything special done to your water? That beer looks fantastically clear, I've not had a single Kölsch turn out that clear -- even after four weeks lagering.

    IC in Bucket

I think they mean that this IC appears, from the photos, to be made with stainless, not copper?

    Beer loss through "in" post

The poppet should seal well enough, when gas is disconnected, to prevent both gas and beer from leaking. You can always just pull out the gas-in dip tube and chop it down. I did this to all mine, they're only about 1" to 1.25" now, I didn't measure them or anything, just cut them off. My issue...

DIY Empty Bottle Rack, not quite a "tree"!!

Cool build. Any idea what angle you've built the shelves at? Will the liquid in bottle be able to clear the "hump" before the the neck?

    Coolest stir plate on HBT.

I want to applaud, but at the same time you've killed an NES. Not sure what I should feel anymore. Very cool... I think? ;)

    Rayon Vert bottles- infected?

The Green Flash bottles here in NY are either regular tall-deuces or the 12s similar to Sierra Nevada's. Are there other shaped bottles?

Outdoor Keezer vs freezing temps outside

My "keezer" is in the garage as well. I've the Love TSS2-2100 and a simple 100 watt bulb for the heating side. Works great here in Rochester temps. I had it running at 54F for the past three weeks as it was my lagering chamber at the time. Dropped it to 43F today. Outdoor temps have run 30F-45F...

    Beer Line cutter

Or when you decide that ALL the CO2 lines NEED to be opaque red, because the original clear tubing [and then after that, clear red] isn't at all the look you wanted. :mug:

Rochester, NY - CO2 Tank Refill

4th [5th?] for Southtown beverage. Their site is terrible http://kegking.com/ but the owners have always been more than helpful. Al, one of the brothers, spent around 30 minutes walking me through trouble shooting my multi-keg setup which kept leaking CO2 somewhere. He even gave me a free...

Will adding yeast during bottling speed up carbonation?

If you have a winner batch, don't blow it, just prime normally and give it time. It will only turn out that much better if you wait.

Keezer - temp controller probe question

Drilled a hole in a Gatorade bottle cap, slightly smaller than probe. Covered hole with with duct tape then pushed probe through tape and into hole. Filled bottle with Star San mix, capped. Tight enough that it won't ever fall into the bottle but also easy enough to remove if needed. Also I've...

My entire keg of my first lager drained out

Yeah, sh*t sucks, lost a whole keg, same way. Was just about to get my buddies some fresh samples of my latest batch when HORROR SHOW. Had to pull everything out of the keezer, hose it out, clean the other kegs, etc, etc. I ordered 100s of new o-rings from McMaster, replaced them on all my...

    Basic Keezer Build

No kidding! I helped my buddy do his kitchen counters with the same glass tile. Really nice end result. Looks great, btw, keep updating.

    Cheap ball lock kegs.

Damn it! Great price. I just bought four pin locks elsewhere, for a bit more each. If I'd known about this, I would have finally made the switch. Well, now I'm up to eight total, so I'll have to noodle this one over for a bit. :drunk:
