Well it started out as a fuzzy grayish color that was on the outside of the corks.i haven't checked in it since but I'll look at it again to see if has progressed
So I just bottled 2 batches of mead and already there seems to be mold growing on the corks. Is this something I should be wary of? None of my previous batches have had this happen.
So I split my 4 gallon batch of mead from primary and racked it onto fruit. I have one in a three gallon carboy on seven lbs of blackberries, one in a one gallon jug on pomegranates and the last one in a one gallon jug on peaches. How long should I keep them on fruit?
So I am a new home brewer. I have one batch of beer and I just brewed a batch of mead. My hydrometer reading seemed a little lower than I expected it to be. It was 1.074 according to my temperature correction. Am I off by too much or will my mead be alright?
