    Ella (aka Stella) hops?

I recently made a Neipa with them with similar hops(galaxy/motueka) ... 100g in the whirlpool but no dry hop and first tastes that they're super grassy. I made an IPA with them and dry hopped with 50g plus El Dorado and it turned out fantastic no hint of grass at all... From my experience it's...

    Aging in keg - Brulosophy

I wonder how much of a difference priming the keg with sugar and naturally carbing would make. The re fermentation of the yeast would use up a decent percentage of the dissolved O2 and be in a closed environment.

American Pale Ale Cascades / Orange Pale Ale

Here's a picture of of a pretty similar recipe to this that I brewed at a local brewpub here in China. I added just a touch extra Vienna and Caramel and mashed higher. And used esb yeast so it had a bit more body s it finished up at 018.

Help on a grain bill for an English Mild

What this man says. I'm from Birmingham and I grew up drinking mild. One of my faves was banks mild which is basically their brew XI recipe with more invert sugar added for colour. If you haven't already tried it whack up a batch of orfys mild. It's a great brew.

Someone I know has made his own apple juicer which works pretty well... Although the apples here suck! Tsingtao beer is pretty good in Qingdao. You can...

    Weird infection throughout my brewery

I usually get my grains milled at a local brewpub although I have milled in the same room as my chest freezer with the windows open. I know it's not best practice! I kettle soured with fruit juice and a lacto strain. Anything that touched lacto was cleaned or thrown away. Weirdly the...

    Weird infection throughout my brewery

The plastic fermenters are not sealed 100% you'll always get a bit of outside air ingress. Although good call on the saison. I'm going to give that a try. I boil in a huge aluminum pot. I only have a ball o valve on my mash tun. Which I've cleaned. I forgot to mention that one of the batches...

    Weird infection throughout my brewery

Hey all. I've got a strange infection that I can't get rid of. Any advice or suggestions welcome as I've dumped 6 out of the last 8 beers I've made. I'm not a new brewer by any means and I've brewed over 300 batches so I'm confident to say that my sanitation is fine. So... What the infection...
