    Recipe Suggestion?

Great suggestions. What do either of you think about a scotch ale? Someone at the lhbs suggested that.

    Recipe Suggestion?

Looking for a good all grain recipe for a fall ale. Nothing too dark or heavy, and I'm not really interested in a pumpkin/spice beer, as I have yet to try one that I like. Thinking some sort of amber, but want it with a little bit of added character Thoughts?

If only we could get rid of the big 3

What's wrong with the two coexisting? I'm at the beach right now. Temps near 100. I can tell you this, an ice cold High Life sure does the job. And at 7.50 per 12, the economics of it all are favorable as well. We are all here because we appreciate great beer. I submit that a light lager can...

    Natural Light

Wow, surprised at the responses. I suppose underneath the hop snobbery there is an inner unwashed and uneducated beer swiller in some of us.

Another thing I wished I had researched -- StarSan and countertops. Ooops. Nice little stain for the wife to enjoy. Looks like the brewery expansion budget has been frozen, pending one island countertop.

One thing I wished I had researched further -- blowoff tubes. Yikes, almost had a mess. Caught it as it going through the airlock, and hastily sanitized and fashioned one from my racking tubing and jug of star san. Fermentation is still going strong today! What a great hobby!

    Back in Business

Well Ladies and Gents, After a 10 year brewing hiatus, I am back into it. I did not have too many batches under my belt, and got to the level of partial extract boils with steeping grains. Thanks to the magic of a Birthday, I have a great glass carboy based starting kit. So, I had...
