It actually came out really good, it's still in the pressure barrel ageing but it tastes really nice and has a nice head on it. I am going to leave it longer.
Really proud of my first attempt! and thank you for your help and advice
Hello everyone,
I first started with a Coopers Irish Stout and it came out brilliant and tonight I have started a Coopers Lager but I would love to do a beer that tastes like Sam Adams.
Are there any kits out there which are similar in taste?
Going to start a Coopers Lager tomorrow and I have purchased bottles instead of using the barrel but when it's ready can I bottle straight from the fermenter?
I am currently brewing stout and I was told to add sugar when I put it in the keg to get a small amount of carbonation but I am not sure the same applies to if your bottling it.
Did not take a reading before because I did not have a hydrometer.
I just put it in the bin and read it from there so I will do it again now and upload the picture
I just took a look and the the head/froth in the bin has gone down totally, is this normal? plus there is a strong smells coming from it too, it this normal also?
It's been fermenting for nearly 3 and a bit days
