    Helping A Frustrated Brewer

That water looks like it should be fine to sparge with as is. Next time you brew, do not add any acid to your sparge water. Check your kettle preboil ph and adjust to a ph of 5.2-5.4 if necessary. You could also check your runoff ph to make sure it doesn't get above a ph of 5.7 but I think you...

    Safbrew abbaye

What was your original gravity? What temp did you pitch at? What temp is it fermenting at (beer temp or ambient)? How much yeast did you pitch?

    Bubblegum from us-05?

I've had this problem before. For me, increasing aeration kept this ester below threshold.

Anyone brew a good 100% Munich (grain) ale?

Did you use 2-row Munich or 6-row? I ask because I have made a bock with 6-row Munich and it came out just like you describe. Sent from my iPhone using Home Brew

Kolsch with a slightly "bready" finish

Use a good German Pilsner malt and about 5% German Vienna/Munich. Do not use domestic (US) 6 row varieties, it won't be the same. Sent from my iPhone using Home Brew

If the piece of flashing I have suspended over the pump is causing it to over heat then I also need to remove my kettles. When I was testing the pump, I had it on my garage floor recirculating cold tap water. After 20 minutes in 75 degree ambient temps, the motor got so hot I couldn't touch it...

It is working after doing this. Not sure if I really fixed it but it is working now. Chugger said this motors are splash resistant. Would it not course problems getting wort/water on the motor coils? Sent from my iPhone using Home Brew

I purchased a product from them and now need to BUY a replacement part from them. They have it but won't sell it to me. And, according to them, they are the only ones with a motor that will fit the head. I tried. Sent from my iPhone using Home Brew
