can't get an airlock easily here, there are no home brew shops near me and I'm not ordering from the internet, too much effort

googled blow off hose, and its so simple, I can't believe I didn't think of it! Also the balloon sounds like a good idea too, thanks for the suggestions, I'll get round to trying them soon and the idea with the tubing and can seems quite possible to me!
